Discount Best Blinds and Shutters stands behind every installation we perform. Our workmanship guarantee provides complete peace of mind for one full year after your installation is completed. If any issue related to our installation work arises during this period, we will return to your home or office and resolve it at no additional cost.

Our installation guarantee specifically covers:

• Mounting hardware and bracket alignment, including ceiling, wall, and inside-mount installations
• Operational functionality of all installed products, including smooth raising, lowering, tilting, and motorized operation
• Fit and finish of the overall installation, including trim work and aesthetic alignment
• Motorization system setup, including PowerView hub configuration, scene programming, and smart home integration

Hunter Douglas Manufacturer Warranties

As an authorized Hunter Douglas dealer, Discount Best Blinds and Shutters offers the full Hunter Douglas warranty program on all products we sell and install. Most Hunter Douglas products carry a limited lifetime warranty that covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the original purchaser.

• Silhouette® Window Shadings - limited lifetime warranty covering fabric vanes, sheers, and operating mechanisms

Motorization Warranty

Hunter Douglas, the global leader in lighting and motorized shade control, provides a separate manufacturer warranty on all motorization systems installed by Discount Best Blinds and Shutters. As a certified integration partner, we ensure that every system is installed to manufacturer specifications and eligible for full warranty coverage.

warranty coverage includes Palladiom roller shade motors and drives, RadioRA 3 control systems, Pico remotes, and integration processors. Warranty terms and duration are determined by Hunter Douglas and vary by product category. We handle all warranty claims on your behalf, coordinating directly with technical support.

Hartmann and Forbes Warranty

Hartmann and Forbes hand-woven natural fiber shades carry their own manufacturer warranty, covering defects in materials and craftsmanship. As an authorized Hartmann and Forbes dealer, Discount Best Blinds and Shutters coordinates warranty service for all natural fiber shade products including jute, bamboo, sea grass, and abaca weaves. Due to the handmade nature of these artisan products, minor variations in texture and color are considered natural characteristics and are not covered under warranty.

What's Covered

Across our installation guarantee and manufacturer warranty programs, the following are generally covered:

• Manufacturing defects - flaws in materials, construction, or assembly that affect product appearance or function
• Motorization components - motors, batteries, control hubs, remotes, and electronic systems that fail under normal use
• Fabric integrity - delamination, premature fading (under normal light conditions), or structural failure of fabrics, vanes, and pleats
• Operating mechanisms - cord locks, clutch mechanisms, spring systems, and hardware that fail under normal operation
• Installation work - any deficiency in our mounting, alignment, or setup during the first year (Discount Best Blinds and Shutters guarantee)

What's Not Covered

The following are generally not covered under manufacturer warranties or our installation guarantee:

• Normal wear and tear - gradual aging, fading from prolonged UV exposure beyond expected product lifespan, or general use-related wear
• Misuse or abuse - damage caused by improper operation, excessive force, or use outside the product's intended purpose
• Unauthorized modifications - alterations, repairs, or modifications performed by anyone other than Discount Best Blinds and Shutters or the original manufacturer
• Acts of nature - damage caused by earthquakes, floods, fire, extreme weather events, or other natural disasters
• Pet or insect damage - physical damage to fabrics, cords, or components caused by pets or pests
• Cleaning or chemical damage - harm resulting from improper cleaning methods or exposure to chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners

How to File a Warranty Claim

Filing a warranty claim with Discount Best Blinds and Shutters is straightforward. We handle all manufacturer coordination on your behalf, so you only need to make one call:

1. Contact us - call (707) 523-0300 or email discountbestblinds@yahoo.com to describe the issue you are experiencing.
2. Assessment - we will schedule a visit to inspect the product and determine whether the issue falls under our installation guarantee, the manufacturer warranty, or both.
3. Manufacturer coordination - if a manufacturer warranty claim is needed, we file the claim directly with Hunter Douglas, or Hartmann and Forbes on your behalf. You do not need to contact the manufacturer yourself.
4. Resolution - once replacement parts or products are received, we schedule the repair or replacement installation at a time convenient for you.

ANSI/WCMA A100.1-2022 Child Safety Compliance

Every window treatment installed by Discount Best Blinds and Shutters complies with the current ANSI/WCMA A100.1-2022 child safety standard, established by the Window Covering Manufacturers Association. This standard sets performance and safety requirements for all window covering products sold in the United States, with a primary focus on eliminating accessible operating cords that pose strangulation hazards to young children.

Our commitment to child safety means we prioritize cordless lift systems, motorized operation, and wand-tilt controls across our product offerings. Hunter Douglas products including Duette® Honeycomb Shades with LiteRise®, Silhouette® with UltraGlide®, and all PowerView® motorized products meet or exceed current safety standards.
